European Green Leaf Award

The prize is 75,000 Euro – 560,000 Danish Crowns – towards events that raise awareness of the town’s environmental efforts both locally, nationally and internationally. One to two winners can be selected.

European Green Leaf Award has three green leaves as its goals:

1. To recognise cities which have made a special environmental effort and created growth.
2. To encourage cities to develop citizens’ environmental awareness
3. To make the winning cities ambassadors that inspire others
